Don’t Miss Out on Pancake Day – Try Our Protein Pancake Recipes Instead!

Looking for protein pancake recipes?  Wondering what protein pancakes are?!  Well, you’ve come to the right place!

I absolutely LOVE protein pancakes for numerous reasons:

  1. Taste fantastic
  2. Great way to hit your macro’s for the day
  3. Perfect post workout snack
  4. Low in calories and fats.
  5. Best guilt free treat to have any time of the day!

Protein pancakes are NOT carb ridden like their predecessors.  They are made predominately with protein powder.  I use Protein Princesses Vanilla flavoured Whey 90.  Some of the best protein pancake recipes can be anything from 8g upto 38g of protein per serving!!….HINT Cinnamon Roll Pancakes 🙂

Here are some of my favs

  1. Body Coach Recipe Protein Pancakes with Greek Yoghurt, Berries and Honey – 8g Protein

Serves 1

Ingredients:

1 banana, roughly chopped

1 scoop Protein Princess vanilla protein powder

1 egg

25g rolled oats

1 tbsp coconut oil

Greek yoghurt, blueberries and raspberries, to serve

Method

Whizz up the banana, protein powder, egg and oats in a blender to make your batter.

Heat up half the coconut oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Pour little puddles of batter into the pan – I usually get 3 pancakes, with about half the batter in the pan at once.

Cook for about 1 minute on each side. Remove and repeat the process with the rest of the batter.

Serve with a dollop of yoghurt and a few fresh berries.

          2.  Vanilla-Spiked Protein Pancakes  (9 g protein)
The protein in these bad girl pancakes comes from three eggs and a half-cup of cottage cheese.   A quarter-measure of flour holds it all together, and vanilla concentrate and coconut oil give the cakes an interesting — and long for commendable — flavor. 3.  Cinnamon Blast Protein Pancake  (38g Protein)

Instant oats, vanilla protein powder, egg whites and Greek yoghurt make up the protein-pressed base of these pancakes, while banana and cream cheese make a wanton flavour and texture.   Store in the freezer for breakie on the go!  Photo and Recipe: Claire / The Slender Student

4.   Chocolate and Peanut Butter Protein Pancake  – 11g Protein

These are next on my list to bake.  I love the winning combination of chocolate and peanut butter.
