As we like to keep it real here at Protein Princess, we wont pretend we are gym bunnies everyday…HELL NO!!  Even though I love to work out, sometimes I just lack the motivation to go, especially if its that time of the month!

However, staying trim and keeping healthy is super important to me and I just love the endorphin’s I get after an intense workout, that sometimes I need a little kick up the butt to hit the gym and do a super charged workout.

This where a good pre workout can come in very handy.  Not only does it give you that needed energy boost, depending on the ingredient it can increase your stamina and strength too!  Meaning you can training longer and lift heavier.

Nonetheless, here at Protein Princess we are also very aware that there are a few women who will be scared of taking pre workout for a variety or reasons.  This blog post will hopefully put an end to those fears and help you realise the great benefits you can get from using a pre workout regularly.

Many moons ago this might of been true.  Now there are a few female only brands of pre workout design especially for females macro nutrients, meaning you wont look like those jacked up men swinging the iron about crazily in the gym!!  Make sure you read the labels and steer clear of testosterone boosting ingredients like; tribulus, fenugreek, and D-aspartic acid.  Pre workout will give you that extra edge in the gym to keep going and hopefully smash your personal PB.

Pre Workout will keep me up all night.

It will do if you have it close to bed time and its laden with Caffeine!  Protein Princesses Invigorate Pre workout contains around the same amount of caffeine per serving as 2 cups of regular coffee. So it is enough for a boost but nothing extreme that you will be bouncing off the walls.  Try starting out with half a scoop and see how you feel.

I will get the jitters.
